Is Sock Boy mentally sound?
John Robson on Prime Minister Space Cadet:
The federal Liberal administration, having solved every other major task it set itself in 2015 to its satisfaction, now intends to ensure that next week’s budget will assess every policy based on how it will affect everything to do with gender in every way. And after lunch, world peace.
The CBC reports credulously: “The idea behind gender-based analysis is to think about how a government policy, legislation or spending might affect men and women, or boys and girls, in different ways, while accounting for other intersecting factors such as income, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation” so if “one gender would experience disproportionately negative impacts, then policy-makers can change course or pay added attention to other areas that could help mitigate those effects.”
Nice alliteration in the comments: “vapid, vile, intellectually void.”
Unfortunately, a dying breed. God bless him.
An 88-year-old military veteran who rescued a young woman from five knife-wielding robbers today said: “Fear is not in my dictionary.”
John Nixon brought down one of the thugs with a karate chop to the neck but an accomplice then slashed his hands and head. The attackers fled as the woman ran away screaming.
Google “American Inventors” and see the results. Thomas Edison comes in 5th for Heaven’s sake. Might be an agenda there, eh.
Justin Trudeau is ridiculed by Indians for his ‘fake, tacky and annoying’ wardrobe of traditional outfits – and finally dons a suit after criticism.
Three Africans bit off more than they could chew:
Three men have been arrested in the heavily migrant-populated Paris suburb of Clichy-sous-Bois for attacking a man by biting at his face and then eating the pieces of flesh they had bitten off.
White guilt is a terrible thing, but I still want my wheel back.
What do Australia and Canada have in common? Both are modern multicultural societies borne of British roots. Both are heavily reliant on resources and trade. Both have a passion for globally obscure professional sports. Both are largely empty in the middle. It’s a long list.
Here’s another: both display the same worrisome tendency to misrepresent past wrongs done to Indigenous people in order to exaggerate present-day feelings of guilt and shame. In this case, however, Australia has a significant head start on its northern cousin.
A documentary about a Syrian refugee living in Germany with his two wives and six kids has angered many. Not only is polygamy against German law, but one wife married at 13 – and the family live on state handouts.
The Spiegel TV film was aired over the weekend, telling the story of 32-year-old Ahmad A. who fled the fighting in Syria’s Aleppo back in 2015 with his large family, and found a safe haven in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany.
The man lives in a two-story house provided by the community with two wives and six children. Despite polygamy being illegal in Germany, Ahmad was allowed to bring his second wife into the country as she is the mother of four of his kids.
No mention of socialism, mind you.
After winning the presidency in 1999, leftist President Hugo Chavez was proud of improving Venezuela’s social indicators due to oil-fueled welfare policies. But his successor President Nicolas Maduro’s rule since 2013 has coincided with a deep recession, due to failed state-led economic policies and the plunge in global oil prices.
Refreshingly not PC:
This simple fact about the left is what made the hysteria over Donald Trump’s potential “fascism” or malign nationalism so preposterous. Progressivism and communism are the kissing cousins of fascism, and it is their adherents who admire political violence for noble causes––“any means necessary,” as the slogan went in the sixties. Today it is their devotees who get misty-eyed over the “great leader” who promises to sweep away the impediments––human rights, law, traditional morality, faith––that try to limit violence. That’s why today there is no Antifa on the right, no mobs trying to shout down speakers or intimidate them with violence, no murderers turned into specious martyrs, no terrorists living comfortably with university sinecures and book contracts, and no psychopathic criminals the subjects of sentimental Hollywood biopics.
That’s because genuine conservatism loves freedom more than power, and recognizes that all humans, no matter how smart or well-intentioned or idealistic, cannot be trusted with power for too long. And that in turn makes conservatives Constitutionalists, for our political order was built on that ancient wisdom, as was Western civilization itself. When we reject that wisdom and puff ourselves up with arrogance because we are better engineers, we pave the way for the hubris that Sophocles said breeds the tyrant, whose excesses provoke a murderous nemesis.
An Indian journalist calls a spade a spade.
Justin Trudeau is a mascot of everything that is wrong with the world today. From being at the forefront of encouraging every degeneracy to welcoming radicalism into his homeland, from cheap gimmicks of tokenism to attempts at creating a culture of politically correct absurdities, the stink of his leftist hypocrisy wafts far and wide. As citizen of India, I could not care less if the elected leader of Canada seeks to drive his nation to the dumps. But where it has an adverse effect on my country is where I choose to draw the line.
