Nothing is free, including lunch, but the Ontari-owe NDP wants to flank the Liberals on the left. Kathleen Wynne just introduced “free” prescription drugs for young folks. Now the NDP wants to make the coverage universal and add universal dental to boot. Ontari-owe is broke, however, so one assumes that the dippers will be dipping into people’s pockets to pay for it, should they form the next government.
Three words: remember Bob Rae.
An Ontario NDP government would ensure universal dental and prescription coverage, Leader Andrea Horwath has promised.
“Everyone will be covered with the dental plan,” Horwath said. “And they’ll either be covered through work or through their OHIP card… Every single person in our province will be covered with dental and, of course, with pharmacare.”
